A Strange Realization

Some childhood friends never change. Laughter and smiles bridge over the lost time and space. When you are together, it feels the same as it always was. Other times you grow out of the people you grew up with. I don’t know why or how it happens, it just does. They are warped into a complete stranger sitting across from you. You don’t recognize them anymore and as much as you want to put the pieces of the past back together, it doesn’t work. They are different then they once were. Sometimes it’s for the better. Sometimes it’s for the worst. All in all, it’s a strange realization.
