I Just Wasn’t Made For These Times

I like talking on the phone for a few hours more than texting all night long.

I like scrapbooking a few memorable moments more than snap-chatting concerts every song.

I like conversations about our aspirations, goals and dreams

More than gossip and drama on socialites in the mainstream.

I like writing my truth in my journal more than telling tall tales in a tweet.

I think that knowing all your neighbors names is actually really sweet.

I like my human connection unapologetic and raw.

I like hearing you say something that you mean over something that you don’t.

Sometimes I wonder has something gone awry in my mind,

But I guess I just wasn’t meant for these times.
